Hello

My son has played Rec soccer since 4. He absolutely loves it. We are wanting to move into a more structured and knowledgeable environment to help him further his talent and abilities. We know nothing of the select soccer world. Any advice is greatly appreciated My son is 7 now he turns 8 in January (2014). We are looking for programs close to the Mckinney area.

At this age just locate a team with a nearby practice to ease your stress and a coach with some experience. This is just the very first step on a long journey.

Two things:

1. At that age, the most important thing is to find a coach that your son responds to and enjoys.

2. Don't believe anything anyone tells you (except for these two points).
