I have an 06 Girls team right now playing in PSA although I know it's a little early to be thinking about next year but thought I'd ask those already playing. What are the pros and cons for each league?

Just some observations...not an all-inclusive list:

The biggest difference is price (SDL is expensive compared to UAL)

SDL is US Club Soccer sanctioned -- UAL is NTSSA/USYS

SDL uses 2 refs -- UAL uses 3

SDL uses multiple sites for games -- UAL uses a single facility (per age group)

SDL has a cryptic registration system -- UAL uses GotSoccer (easy)

SDL you deal with mgmt via email/phone -- UAL you can also go see mgmt (in person) at the various sports associations that help manage the league(s)

SDL has been around a bit -- UAL is brand new

Hope this helps.

Check out EAL. Similar to UAL, but more games.

Excellent info thanks. That's perfect. Now seems like there are several that I was unaware of. First we are based in Frisco, so although EAL is not out of the question, I would prefer something more Frisco or Plano based. So what about Dial and Prime Time? Forgive me for my ignorance, just didn't get into the Academy stuff with my 00 DD, but now that she is PPL, figured I'd start that route with my 06, instead of the Rec route.

Thanks

Dial plays at Moss. Prime Time plays in Grapevince, Grand Praire, and Arlington if Im not mistaken. A lot will depend on the number of 06 teams that get formed between now and next fall. This time last year there were more 05 teams playing up in SDL and there are no 06s doing that this year. Could me nothing at this point but something to think about.

With the addition of U7 and U8 to the academy by NTX it has created more competition for leagues and no way of knowing where everyone will play unless they advertise it ahead of time.
