What is the best club for girls? - Page 3 Empty Re: What is the best club for girls?

The coach should be almost the utmost important factor when choosing a club. There are several great clubs to choose from, and each have their share of good coaches, tactically astute, personable, passionate, etc...as well as poor ones. Having the knowledge to know which one to choose might be hard for some to come by..(being able to correctly analyze the astute ones from the not-so, hollywood passes, wrong ones) The Coach is the key.

However, the coach can be fired by "The Club" on July 2nd. Now what are you going to do when the club just told you the coach wasn't benefiting the club and you are in a contract for another 364 days.

It is a combination of coaching talent and club support. The good clubs keep good coaches to make the situation the best for the player.

It's not a perfect science, that's why it takes a lot of factors into the equation..

Never seen a select contract - do they specify the coach or give you an "out" if the club restructures the team?

I have seen a few of these. The contract is between the club and the player. There is not any mention or commitment of a coach. Club's fire \demote \ reassign coaches all of the time, so there isn't a guarantee the coach will make it through the year \ season \ or even the month. You will owe and be tied to that club even if you don't like the new coach. So when a coach wears out his \ her welcome and the team isn't responding what are you going to do?

This is why it is important to know the club and the depth of the club before just saying I will go with the feline coach even though she is with Froot Loop soccer club now. Froot loop soccer club isn't going to give you a refund for the full years payment because feline didn't appreciate Captain Crunch's handling of a parent. Now feline is taking her remaining marshmallow's and cookie crisp teams to join the new Wheaties Soccer club.

Is it ever the club? Clubs, like all organizations, are amoral. They are neither good nor are they bad. They are self-perpetuating and necessarily concerned with one thing: continuing.

I agree with posts suggesting it's about, or should be, the coach.

DD doesn't currently play for FCD, but did at one time and know MANY that still do. Would cast my vote for them and agree with most below, but....................

fcdakp2213 wrote:I realize I am biased but FC Dallas is the best club. The fields are enough alone (when you have access to them, and other then the turf & FISD fields, isn't as often as people think) , but in addition to that the philosophy of development(why don't more youth coaches emphasize this) (agree), free tickets to FCD games (only home-regular season games for player), great looking unis (agree - love 'em) , and quality coaching (I told you I as biased) (agree-you are-but you're right) also help to make it the best.

FCD has primarily been forcused on the boys side of things with a strong sales-pitch for the "home-grown" opportunites they want to provide youth players with the MLS team. The same could be said of all dual gender clubs, it's just that Texans and Solar got an earlier jump of focusing on girls teams. The FCD girls side has only recently started receiving more focus the past 2-3 years and with their development program and size of player pools at their younger select ages, will start taking more of center stage in the next 3-5 years. IMO of course.

You really need to back that up with some stats.

butt3r wrote:There can be no best club for girls, as all girls are not the same and have different needs and locations. This is a completely relative argument, as the best club for girl A may not be the best club for girl B.

The season is underway, are we really this bored to come up with these stupid threads. What is next, which company logo is the best, who has the best shinguard color?

Strange...............it's like I've seen that avatar somewhere before..........weird.
