They are a great team. I'm not sure how much possession was on both sides. I was too busy telling my DD to stay on her player. Fun game to watch! They were pretty evenly matched IMO.
Thanks, it sounds like it was an intriguing game.
If the very strong and quick defender is the player I'm thinking of then I think that player is a hidden gem in this age group. I haven't seen Juve play in a really long time so the player I remember could no longer be with the team or regressed or changed positions etc etc. However each time I've seen them in the past I've left thinking that young lady has an excellent first step / anticipation combined with a good grasp of the sweeper positon and is composed on the ball at a young age. She is a natural back there. That type of composure is often seen in kids w/ older siblings in the game (I believe this young lady has that to her advantage). If I were choosing a best XI in the group she (along with the DTS defender) would anchor my defense.

A defender, meaning one. LOL! More like 4, but it was a smart move by your Coach though. It's exactly what I would have done, especially after she got the early goal right at the start. And darn it I missed it, guess that's what I get for trying to run an errand before a big game. Fever is an excellent team. Hats off to them for getting the team to gel and getting them so strong so quickly. The girls looked really good and played really well. I agree with your assessment that they were pretty evenly matched. But the Coach's DD forward gave us pure hell. I don't think even a 6ft goalie could have stopped those shots. Juve girls came out strong and looked really good and played a tight game in the 1st half. I think after Fever got the second goal up on us, our team may have felt a bit defeated and given up a bit. We just didn't seem to play in the 2nd half like we did in the 1st. Fever won at the end of the day of a well played game. Looking forward to seeing them in tourney's and the other top teams too.

Out, I'm not sure which defender is being referenced here because 3 out of our back 4 have older siblings that play so I'm not sure which defender you guys may be speaking of because they all are outstanding. Our defense played really well but as I already stated, the Fever forward was quite a handful for our defense which had only given up 6 goals total in 2 leagues this Spring. They are all excellent defenders IMO, even if I am a little biased and I'd take any of them for my defense if I were building a team.

Fever tried to get into the Saturday league (is it TGPL). We were told yes one day and no the very next day. Hopefully we have proven that we deserve a spot there next year.

Juve added several new players this Spring who were not already playing at a higher competition level and needed time to gel with the core group. Coach also took on another 03 team and needed the flexibility with a league that could accomodate his scheduling conflicts with having 4 teams in multiple leagues to coach on any given weekend. Juve will see other top teams in tournaments and will play where the competition is in the Fall. Not running or hiding from anyone as all the speculation on here suggests. Coach decided the team needed to regroup and mesh with the new additions and we were fine with that. Sorry if some of you weren't.
