ODP regional camp advice
ODP regional camp advice
Is it worth the effort to reschedule the surgery to say late May so she could attend regional camp? What are the benefits of the camp? What are the negatives?

If you can postpone and she'll be 100% at camp, go. It will be the hardest she's ever worked but she should return with a great sense of accomplishment. There are also certain coaches who may take a look at her under hard training conditions. On the practical side, it does help her soccer resume too. IMO, the college coaches are still in the habit of looking at ODP on a resume. Again, IMO, ECNL is changing this, but for now, it is still a plus with college coaches on the soccer resume.

Hey Guru, before I start sending my dd out to check the mail today....can you tell me when your dd got her letter? Do you know when they were mailed out possibly?

Have not recieved letter but with surgery looming on the horizon have had some very unofficial and non-commital conversations trying to figure out what we should do. As far as I know they have not mailed any letters yet.

If my understanding is indeed correct (feel free to throw tomatoes if it is not....) then do you all see any value in attending camp this year. These camps are not cheap...
If you would like to give some private advice as well then feel free to PM me.

Yep, got it today. Now I'm in scramble mode trying to reschedule the surgery. If anyone knows a good ortho surgeon please let me know.
Clarification: Orthodontic surgeon needed, not orthopedic. Sorry if I confused anyone

Don't forget the humidity. That is scary all by itself.

Daughter had a blast at ODP camp. Lots of coaches showed up including TN, Memphis, FL, FL Int'l, S. Carolina, Texas A&M, SMU, TCU, Auburn, GA, Samford and Vanderbilt. I didn't mention to her pre-camp the campus was supposedly haunted. DD said they were on the haunted 4th floor. It may be a creaky old building or someone was messing with the girls, but they heard a lot of funny noises and saw/heard things like slamming doors with no one there. I think they ended up piling a lot of girls into the same room at night
