So who's advancing to weekend 2 & what's the brackets going to look like?

These 5 teams eliminated and will not play next weekend:

Texas Thunder
Solar Gold
TFC Blue
Dallas Kicks
Crush

Everyone else (the other 28 teams) will play next weekend.

I worked them out but my question is will they put 2 teams from the same club in the same bracket? I know they didn't mix same club teams in round 1 but will that apply to round 2?

Going off Gophers list of wk 2 in the QT brackets it would look like this. Now if LHGCL decides that no same clubs in same brackets it could change.

From LHGCL:
""* To the extent possible, Round 2 Brackets will be adjusted after Round 1 to make certain that teams from the same Round 1 Brackets do not play each other in Round 2. Therefore, teams may not actually play in the Brackets as shown above. All bracket adjustments will be done at the discretion of LHGCL.""

They don't mention anything about same club teams, just teams that have already played each other...does anyone know how they do this???

How can seeding by 1st weekend points be equitable as there were teams who only had a chance to earn 20 points while others could earn 30? (2 games vs. 3)

The best teams remaining are:

Solar Gio
Solar Stark
Dynasty
Andromeda
Sting Parker
D'Feeters
Saints

To me there is a 'step' between these 7 and the rest that will play next weekend. Any bracket that has 2 of these teams paired together is just wrong...this should not be that hard--but alas I am thinking 1 or 4 of these teams will end up with a tough draw battling for qualification.

If the projections above are accurate--Saints & Gio and Solar Stark & Andromeda would be in trouble and Dynasty would have a clear path to D1.

It's not based on points, but rather based on your rank within your bracket... Then for the 4 4th place spots, they look at all 4th place finishers and take the top 4 in points...
The brackets with 3 teams... Those 2nd and 3rd place teams automatically make it into week 2 as 2nd and 3rd place teams in their brackets...

I'm not suggesting seeding should be based solely on points from 1st QT weekend. Just another bit of info to put out there to consider.

So a scoreless draw against the bracket winner, allowing only one goal all weekend (to 2nd place seeding), and beating third place seeding 3-0 grants you little love in week two? Just asking...

I guess after all the debate regarding seeding earlier in the week, LH got it right with 1-11 and 13 qualifying the first weekend. Hopefully it holds true for the teams playing next week.

Bracket U a "killer"? If I were Gio or Saints I would be elated as both have a great chance at making DI with that line up...they should max points against Andro Blue (who should have been in contention to get eliminated this weekend) and DT Red (who now stands a descent chance of getting in DIII even though they only managed 1 goal all weekend).

I totally agree - there are teams like Titans and Andro Blue that not only got higher seeds than they should've but they got them in a way that also messed up week 2 brackets. I hope the LH people use the 'no two teams from the same club in the same bracket' excuse to make things right but they would have to change a few brackets and I doubt they do it. I know you have to just go out and compete but when a fourth place team from one bracket has an easier path to LH than the team that got second in a bracket it's hard not to get peeved.
