I need some help from you guys who have older kids playing in middle school and high school sports and participating in other MS/HS activities. How do the coaches handle missing practices or games because of MS/HS sports or other activities? Are they punished with reduced playing time for participating in an activity that they might be graded on?

Most are pretty flexible, since they are greatly benefiting form the club training. Usually if you have a game, they will let you skip practice with no consequence. But the donot look favorably on you missing an actual game.

Just give them your schedule and work it our before hand andI've seen no problems.

One thing to remeber, your dd will nto be going back for "Club Reunions 10 years later, but will be going back to High School reunions where they revel in rehashing.

Though club is the best for teaching them soccer, for most HS is the best for enjoying it and bonging with teammates.

Okay, I think you meant oops, not oppps - but I thoroughly enjoyed the bonging misspell (a great fear of all of us parents)! One of the things I'm hoping soccer helps prevent.

My dd opted out of MS sports in order to commit more time to bonging.
Interestingly, she's developed a craving for Super Tacos from Jack-In-The-Box at 2am.
Not sure the choice has helped her Club soccer....but she sure seems happy all the time.
