We played the first evening of the tournament and received 5" of rain on Friday night forcing a cancellation.

SP, GLASA has had a good reputation of running tournaments the last 30 years. Unfortuantely with the turf at Railroad being immature we have had to be extremely careful with it. I can assure you we have NEVER kept any teams money for games not played, we have always given refunds for our tournaments that didn't make. If for some reason you didn't receive money back last year you need to discuss with your manager. BTW, last year the Lewisville area received 5" of rain on Friday night causing the cancellation, Thursday night games were played.

Carey Registration is extended to Friday April 26th. The tournamnet is unrestricted meaning we accepth both USYSA and US Club rosters. See your agegroup for the applied/accepted team list.

We had numerous teams that couldn't play before 7:30-8:00 on Friday due to driving distance and work schedules of the coaches. We generally try to limit the start times to 7:30-7:00 at the latest.

Then start the games at 7:30pm or 8:00pm, but not 9:00pm.

I know it must be a bear to handle the scheduling for a tournament, but having academy age kids start at 9:00pm doesn't seem to make sense. That should be fixed.

I wonder if they used the same scheduler as Plano Spring Kicks... 8 yr olds with 8pm and and 8am game times...

Agreed, they will be zombies the next day and those GLASA admins will not be around to help with the cranky attitudes! Perhaps they should also schedule an 8am game the next morning to make it even more fun!
