The cost is outrageous for 90% of the clubs. But I, along with most pay them. I only have heard of one team out there that has a team in LHGCL 02 that pays under $1000, which is Dynasty. Not quite sure how they do it, but they are cheap and pretty good. If I lived closer, I would Definately look at going out there.

The number I would like to know is....... On average how much does a coach in LHGCL make per team.... And how much goes to the club? Anyone have that number?

Coaches make around 15-16 a year per team.  Clean. No travel expenses, no meals.  Clean clean.  Multiply X 3 and there you have it.   The cost for club is more than $5000 when you include travel to tourneys, meals, gas and hotel.

What is really ridiculous is that you pay the same dues for a Plano team as you do a Classic D1 team for the big clubs. The D1 team, of course, will have extraordinary expenses for travel and higher-level tournaments. I am talking about the base rate plus uniform. Not that all of the D1 coaches are awesome, but if you're in Plano, you're paying the same for likely a lower caliber coach. Then throw in inferior fields and referees...

On top of that, if your DD is the last on the bench, you are paying as much as the starter that plays the entire game.

Inequities all around in this system.

And I'm done... no more dues, and in my next life I'm not paying any unless there is a true development/promotion system.

There are some Plano/Arlington coaches that are much better coaches than some D1/D2 coaches. Some have independent teams that develop players and end up being feeders to the big clubs in Classic. They can just never get enough talent to get into Classic.
You shouldn't really pay based on the league you play in, you should pay for the quality of the experience and development.

Sometimes they do get into Classic.

I don't agree the fields in Plano are worse than Classic.  Most of the UTD fields are very uneven and bumpy.  They were worse than Moss- except for the time the lines on the fields at Moss were so faded that the players were never quite sure whether they were in the penalty area.

I always wondered what the coaches get out of it. I recently had a coach say he would give up his salalry to make it cheaper for the parents. Somehow i didnt belive that:shock:

I agree, sometimes they do get into Classic. I root for them Smile

Fields are better at UTD than Moss, but Plano's are better than UTD.

The fields at UTD are a nightmare and lake highlands and north Texas state soccer should be embarrassed to have used them for state cup and league....

Plano Premier League Fields are a golf green compared to UTD and Moss....
