Re: 2013/14 LHGCL D1 Predicted Teams
Without seeing some of the teams I'll go off things I was told and see how that works.
Here are my picks for teams that I think will make DI
SRSA - Not sure what their final roster will be but it won't matter. Still the top team and I feel sorry for the teams that get put in this pool.
DTS - will get the 2 or 3 seed and should cruise. Will be nice to see them face off with the 03s again.
LP Elite - 2 or 3 seed. Very steady group that seemed to be playing their best soccer as the summer wore on.
FCD Gold - solid showing this weekend. Could see them getting the #2 seed simply because they played this weekend.
Sting G - a bit of a mystery as I what they actually lost and how it will effect them but all reports is its still one of the top teams.
Dfeeters - someone has to be #6 and they are as good a choice as any. Not going to wow you with their speed but they know who they are and play to their strengths.
FCD Premier - hard working team. Will do enough to get the job done, however I'll disagree with being a consitent performer. They seem to play to the level of their competition.
LP Barnes - team has come on as if late and should be able to make a strong showing in LH
Sting West - they will either cruise through qualifying or it will take them two weeks. If they end up in the 11-16 seed range week one might be tough.
FCD Suarez - they go as their speedy forward goes. Should make it through qualifying, might struggle against better competition week after week.
Sting Hilton - made great strides over the last months, anxious to see them continue to improve.
LP Rush - Seeding will be key but they have proven in the past they can play with anyone.
LP Keegan - dark horse after losing some players but from the reports over the last couple of weeks they have a non stop motor and aren't afraid to run around or through you to get the ball. Might take two weekends but I think they have a chance.
FWFC - some nice pieces, will be a handful for whoever gets them.
Cosmos- a lot of new parts but they can play, might be a team that out performs their seed week one.
Fever - physical team that can make for a tough week one matchup.
Mutiny - top 20 team but seemed to struggle this weekend.
DT Moreno - first time out this weekend and after much hype didnt really have a good first showing. Should be a 17-20 seed and will probably need to make it to week 2 to qualify.
FCD Copa might be the second best FCD team. Probably will be a week two qualifier but sleep on them at your own risk.
Sting Goodman - another second week qualifier in my opinion. Getting a rep as the most physical team in the 03 group, might not work as well against the top teams but will see them through qualifying.
Here are some teams that have an outside shot DT Red, Sparta, Andromeda FC, and Dallas Rush 03.
Good luck to all the teams playing. It's still 10 year olds playin soccer and anything is possible.

I'd be willing to say most of the girls on the teams posted above want to do more then play soccer and have fun. To get to the top league of select these girls also want to work hard, compete with the best players,, and push themselves. Yes, it is u10...but it is more serious then just playing for fun.

I agree it still should be about fun but I can also understand folks taking this a little more serious considering they just shelled out between 2k to 3k for the year. If you just want your kid to have fun and run around kicking a ball then I'm going to suggest that NTX Select soccer is not the place for you
