It has been pretty quiet in here lately other than a few "teams/players looking" posts. Seems like even the polls died this year after a couple of weeks into the season.

Besides the Sparta to D'Feeters move(great move for both, imo) is there anything else happening out there? Any teams folding? Any DD's giving up soccer? How was the high school experience?

DD is not giving up soccer but when asked about this up coming season she seemed pretty non-committal to another year so we will see. High school was pretty anti-climatic but fun for the DD. I was expecting a little more than what we got.

Good to hear from ya.. I agree with you on Sparta to Feet... Gives the Sparta kids a chance to dual roster ECNL, which is currently the best way to get college notice. A talented 2nd 99 team to Feet is nice for the club as well.

A few other big 99 rumors out there as well. I just can't be the guy to put it out there..

What I really like about the Sparta move is that it gives them a bigger talent pool to pull from now that they are out of the country. I think it was a great move. I just wonder if a "Bones" situation will happen.

Y'all are funny; kinda highschool. Nobody wants to be the first to blurt it out, acting as if it's taboo or potential rumor; but as soon as someone shares the info everyone is alluding too this thread will gain momentum. Funny.

Mustangs had an A&D meeting yesterday with LHGCL. They have apparently been D'd quite significantly.

Now, all of you "in the dark" can now go forward with your thoughts, as you've been just waiting for this moment.

I know very little beyond they had an A&D hearing, with some potentially harsh consequences. I only know of the meeting, not of the details behind those doors. I don't think it's "hidden" info as decisions have been made, but I personally do not know the final outcome.

Lots of action going on in the 99's. Agree that the Sparta move was a really good one for both. FC Premier moving to Sting, only the blind didn't see that one coming. Texans moving to Spirit kind of surprising, not so much the Meja move, though. From the sound of it, Mustangs are in a world of trouble, but nobody seems to know why...or at least not saying.

If the Mustangs are suspended for a year. Which is what I'm hearing, who gets their D1 spot? Does only 1 team go down to D2 instead of two teams?

If that is true, does the team still play in PL for U16 (having qualified by finishing in the top four in D1 for U15)? And after a one year suspension is over, does a team come back into the same division there were playing in at the time of suspension, or do they have to requalify, or other?

Appears LHGCL is clamping down for sure! A terrible shame really. This is the second suspension I have heard of in the U15 this year.

Well I certainly had not heard anything about the Mustang thing until it was posted. I hope this is not true. Type-1? Geno? Please say it aint so.

Both DTS teams have some shake up but nothing major. I was really thinking we might lose 2-3 teams this year causing some change but it appears almost all the teams are staying strong. Happy off season/silly season everyone.

I'm hearing Mustangs will go thru the appeals process, but to answer your questions:

-Mustangs lose the bye and miss the 2014/2015 year in LHGCL. They will be able to Qualify for D3 in 2015 just like any other team.
-NTX runs the Premier League teams, not LHGCL, so if the Mustangs have a 99 team, they "could" play in PL. But there is a lot to work out first.

The next step in this one is will the Texas Spirit team have the 75% needed to keep the D1 bye vacated by the Mustangs. I heard last night they need 14 and are close right now. If not, the Texans will get the D1 bye. Would that go to the Texans Red South team that just dropped to D3 or the Texans Red team that just promoted to D2???? Looks like one of them will be D1 and one will be D2....

Also, it seems like Sting 99 would fill in the PL spot if the Mustangs don't hold it..

The bye is not extended if 75% of the players on the roster as of April 1 leave a team to join another club. Not the club has to keep 14 right?
