Change of Teams/Clubs

When can a player playing Lake Highlands change teams/clubs without having to request a release from the current club?

If you signed a contract wo an addendum clause from your legal.advisor and countersigned by the club which doesn't require a release form you will be paying that coaches electric bill.for awhile.

So basically without a release you're stuck until June 31st?

She can practice/scrimmage with any team without a release after State Cup (usually in May) but will not be able play in a tournament game with another club without a release prior to June 30th.

Otherwise you have some other options including the below:

Release to Recreational Soccer: Must be initiated by the parent; check YES. This will make the player a “free agent”until they join a recreational team. This does not allow a player to join a competitive team. The player may practice with any competitive or recreational team they wish and may guest play with any team in tournaments allowing guest players, with North Texas signing as the releasing coach. If they wish to transfer to another competitive team and the coach has denied their request, this is the only type of release North Texas can allow, unless there is a decision by the Competitive Committee to override the coach’s denial of the transfer.

Coaches/clubs will sometimes grant a release if you pay the contract in full.

Money talks and the clubs/coaches will let the BS walk.. If you DD is not core but a fringe player and your sideline behavior is not a distraction you have a good chance of getting a full release at the end of the fall season. Pay your bill, leave a nice tip where you are not burning any bridges, and promise to make a very quiet exit and your wish will most likely be granted. Most (not all) coaches will do what is best for the kid/family and won't be a weenus. The reason why is you never know if your path will cross again and player ends up playing for coach again.. I have seen it many times. Do it the right way and your daughter will end up with a good outcome.

If their was malice involved don't worry about burning bridges these coaches move around so much and change clubs and they all meet for happy hour laughing all the way to the bank about their bait and switch tactics. Don't pay the club one cent.
