Too bad the local heavy hitters aren't playing for whatever reason. FCD, Solar, Feet, Energy

My picks for semis are; Fever v. Texans FDL and D'Feeters Blk/Liverpool v. Solar ECNL.

Anyone find it curious that the two highest ranked and probably the best teams are lined up to play each other in the quarter-finals (QF 2 Colorado vs California Odyssey)? My picks are:
Semi 1: Fever vs Colorado
Semi 2 D'Feet Black vs Solar ECNL
Colorado to win

How are they lined up? Isn't 4th vs 5th group winner based on points and not Flight D vs Flight E winner?

I was not aware of that. I haven’t looked at the rules-and like it was pointed out-I’m a relative newbie. If so, I’ll have to rethink my predictions, because I would think a number 10 ranked team and a number 22 ranked team will have more success against the rest of us.

Quite surprised to see a big club like Texans not able to pad their teams like any tournament. They obviously dont have the right players and strategy. Or they are playing the right way w their legal and audited roster maybe that's the case.

That Fever team IS good. As are d’feeters/Liverpool and Solar Haylock. Those three D1 teams can play with the rest of the field.

And already the cancellations and rescheduled have started. Sounds like weather is not supposed to move in until 9:00 and yet they are cancelling all evening games? At least they say they are trying to keep full game times this year.

Feet got a nice draw, should come out of their division without any issues. Ironically with the chatter about fluffing the schedule I think Texans put their best team in the hardest group (D). I'd give 2 goals and take the Texans FDL team over the DA team everyday...Celtics should be in this thing, where they at?!

The reasons are quite obvious in some cases. Texans kept them out.

That’s what 3 games in 4 days and 2 travel days to Colarado back and forth , Canceled flights , finding alternative transportation, does to you. No excuses , Texans 05 DA should have not played in this Tment . Everyone knows they don’t have a goalie , just shoot the ball and odds are it’s a goal . Trust me, the club knows that.

Do they just throw the field player that draws the short straw in goal or are you taking a shot at the skills of an 05 keeper? Odd that a DA team would not have a keeper.

I'll assume by your response that they do have an actual keeper but you don't approve of her skill. I don't have a dog in the fight... just thought your comment was odd to put the blame for every goal given up by the team on the keeper.

I also have no dog in this hunt, but I am pretty sure that when you say there are "no excuses" for a DA team to lose to a good D1 team and in almost the same sentence go on to make several excuses, it raises questions as to whether or not you might be a bit of an ass.
When you call out a 14 yr old keeper for why a DA team lost to the good D1 team (and not the fact that the other 10 players failed to score more than one goal), you remove all doubt.

My question is how does this team get better?
Talent acquisition?
Coaching change?
Or just accept it?
At this age after 15 loses are you numb to it? Do some loses sting more than others? From a parental stand point, is it ok and do you see progress?
