Summer Invitational??

Now that the summer shootout is in the books -- I am curious who is going to do the Summer Invitational in two weeks? We are signed up (OK Texans), and just curious who is planning on playing. Is SRSA going to play true age, or play up? DT South? Juve? Samba?

Samba black will be playing.

SRSA will not be playing.

I love it when 2 SRSA parents "argue" about topics on here. Was hoping to see y'all again in 2 weeks. Oh well. Maybe South, Juve, and Sting will be there.

1. SRSA
2. Texans South
3. Samba
4. Sting
5. Juventus

Cannot rank the rest because they are all close together but pretty far away from the top 5. I'm sure this is not the type of rankings Zid wanted but it's something.

I think your rankings are spot on. 1,2 and 3 are great matchup teams. As Samba has proven, they can win versus the top teams, just need to get over that DTS hurdle. Which I will add is a tough hurdle!! If the top 3 teams could play each other every weekend it can only make our teams better.

Since SRSA is ducking us, hopefully everyone else will show I kid.. I kid.. maybe......

I don't know if we have any real expectations, other than to play hard and see how we measure up. We have never played 9v9, and we are having to bring a couple of subs off our "b team" because some starters are on summer vacation. No worries.. No excuses.. Will be a good time no matter what. More than anything, it will help us find out where we are and what we need to work on to compete with good teams down there. Then hopefully make some adjustments and be more competitive for the Plano labor day tourney....

Looking at our calender we should be in this tourney, i dont think anything has changed as far as i know we "DD" went out of town last weekend so we didnt make this last primetime tourny. But im pretty sure we are in it and prolly be playing U8.

Parts of Sting '03 will be there "if" we can get the numbers. Last I heard the team had 7 players for that weekend maybe 6 if they were counting my DD.

From what I have heard what they lack in size, they make up for in speed. Any Solar Kennington parents on here? Kennington played them in OK a few months ago.

Looks like we will see this weekend

For them playing on smaller fields and goals, it will be interesting see how there girls adjust to the larger fields down here along with the faster pace of soccer that come's with NTX but im sure if there a descent team they will adjust, they will have there hands full the first game against Samba wich brings Size and Speed with them along how well they move the ball.

Our game starts shortly after there's so im gonna try to get there a little early to watch some there game.


Ooops i went back and looked and seen they are playing Juventus first game, should be just as equally interesting.
