True, but if the exceptional player would only be a 10th or so player on the team an age group higher but the #1 player on a team her own age group, this makes sense. LEt her play her own age group for tough games and shine and then let her try out some older age games, she how she does and get a real challenge. She doesn't need to do it on a fulltime basis because she may not make quite the impact she does at her own age and may not get to play the full game. This way, she can maintan 100% game time on her own age group and get extra time playing up.
Of course, as I said, this is all about the one or two girls that can do this and the effects on the regular team are an afterthought. As for players 14, 15 and 16, they probably will not see much time when the girl is gone, I would agree wtih that. Others would simply play more, or they may even get cut to make room for a more impactful player.
An exceptional player is not going to be "10th or so" playing up. Unless, of course, you and I have a different understanding of what exceptional means.
And, as gophers so eloquently states, the avenues for her to play up already exist. I see absolutely no benefit to this change other than to the clubs. But then I never thought they would allow the roster maneuvering for State Cup that they now allow.

It would take exactly one challenge in a LH game before LH would see what a mess it is. I don't care whether it happens or not, but I know that there are questions about this sort of thing occasionally, and why would they add another avenue to muddy the water...What keeps it from happeneing on a D1/D3 split when the kid is "making" the higher roster?? Opens too much gray area. I doubt Gophers buys many drinks here.
You could be right and my main thought was that if the clubs want it to happen, they have the power to get it done. Whether or not id does, does not matter to me as my kid won't be effected.
As for silly rumors, I heard they would put in a rule where a team in the league could take up to three players from a team in the same league to guest play for them as long as the other team was from the same club. For example, a DT team in 3rd place could get three guests from a DT team in 7th place in the same league, just for a weekend. IE, when the #3 team plays the #1 team.
I give this one no legs, but I have heard it thrown around on the boys and girls side.

I have heard for the most part that they no longer exist. Fever, FCD Gold, Sting G, DTS and Texans Moreno all have benefited.
I guess hoopsfan didn't get the memo. Moreno is getting the biggest push from the SRSA staff. I guess referring players to other Solar teams was not on the agenda.
They're are parents on SRSA that recommend Moreno first hand. I've only heard Goodman for sure and Moreno getting players from Gio. I know those facts to be true.Team "A" may have cut some players just recently, but maybe not. Team "B" was always waiting for "trickle" down players from "A". B got tired of waiting and left...I'm sure "A" has enough players and then some!
