LHGCL D1 2018

In the 05 age group is seems as of today the top 5 teams have secured d1 for next year.  It looks like the magical number for this year was 30 points.  DT, KICKS S, LP, Fever and Sting West have secured D1 for 2017 / 2018 season.  With Sting West beating their counter parts to the east, they cannot be reached by places 10th and 11th.

WITH ONLY TWO GAMES LEFT IN THE SEASON, DT CENTRAL AND FCD WHITE CAN ONLY REACH 29 POINTS SO EVEN IF STING WEST LOSES THE TWO GAMES THEY HAVE LEFT. STING WEST WILL STILL END UP IN 9TH PLACE (SO THE MAGICAL NUMBER FOR THIS YEAR WAS 30).  HOWEVER, IF DT AND FCD WHITE WIN BOTH OF THEIR GAMES, THEY CAN STILL SURPASS TEAMS WITH 28 OR FEWER (IF THESE TEAMS LOSE BOTH GAMES).

SO THE TOP FIVE GET TO CALL IT QUITS TWO WEEKS EARLY AND TOY AROUND WITH THEIR LINEUPS AND FORMATIONS.  OH YEAH AND THE STING WESTERS CAN SLEEP EASY KNOWING THEY ARE IN D1 FOR NEXT YEAR..THEY BETTER BEEF UP AND FIND A FINISHER AND NEW KEEPER.  CONGRATS TO THE 5!

Tough road for DT Central and FCD White. I don't see teams 6-9 going 0-2 next weekend. Question, why only 9 teams in D1 next year? I'm sure this has been asked and addressed before?

Final two games are both next weekend weather permitting! Season wraps up Next Sunday!

in the past we were told that it was due to players going from middle school to jr. high school so they would cut out two games out of the season. I know it's ridiculous when most players are doing odp, skills, futsal and other games on top of their regular team activities. I believe with the age pure stuff most 05's will still be in middle school next year.

I believe it was suppose to be top 10 last year in 05 and those girls were headed to middle school. I am sure there is a reason and I am sure it doesn't make sense but I don't think that is it.

I have always (since 2010) been told that LHGCL D1 is pared down as the girls get older, in order to keep the quality of play high.

This is the age when players (and parents) begin to decide if this is the sport/activity they want to continue to pursue.  If yes is their answer, they also choose whether 1) they are receiving all the training they were promised, 2) if their current team is a group of team players or individuals, and/or 3) the dynamic of the coach, parents, and players is conducive for their daughter's growth as a player & person.  Many players are receiving good soccer skills and can perform well during games but are they also receiving important life lessons and leadership qualities?  Wow, it is refreshing when you can receive the whole package.

It's quite interesting to see the tale of the 2 seasons. The team who are not being padded this spring who see to be hanging by a thread versus the fall. We know how the big clubs work to play the game they need those byes. I don't see it back firing who's going to be that third spot to fall to D3 is what I'm watching. I already know half the teams in D1 aren't the True roster. I get a kick out of all the big club propaganda on this site marketing all their needs and their lack of sportsmanship. I think most of us know which club is talking and feeding some good Kool aid on here....who's going to drop to D3 out of the 20 we know Moulton and Bean is done.....keep drinking that Kool aid find a team w a legitimate coach that wants to develop the players he has and not depend on others to win.

I don't think PPL or Arlington allow CPP. You could take your ball and play in those leagues. You would have a better chance of winning and being promoted. Just think of all the development that would happen for your team playing in a level playing field. You have options.

Zizou who's going to be the fallen lamb to D3 is the question. We all know D1 is JDL and padded teams except for a few.

We are all still waiting Zizou for your answer.

Bella and Guzman will both end the season with 2 losses and Bella will fall on the tiebreaker.

I'm glad you came to save Zizou...she seems to have disappeared on this topic. I am sure we will see her again soon.

What teams are borrowing players? DTS, kicks, LP and Fever do not as far as I know. Solar Haylock does not, Byars does and FCD White does. Are any others who are in contention for D1 guilty of this terrible crime?

I'm just enjoying the proganda by the social media experts....all you have to do I look at the match ups who's playing who and the historical data....it's not hard to see who's playing the reindeer games.

Except that my daughter plays for a team that looks like they are based on where they finished the first half vs where they are now. But they aren't.

I would focus the attention on the fluctuations...those are the red flags...you need to look closer there.
