Primetime & GotSoccer Points/Ranking

Just in case anyone hasn't noticed yet..... If you played in PTCL league play last year, Fall/Spring 2016-2017 for example, somehow in the last week or two, GotSoccer is no longer registering points for how you finished in league play.  For example for us, our team's point totals decreased by 566 points and resulted 15 spot drop in the NTX rankings.  I've contacted Chase at PT, but I'm unsure if they understand that this issue affects EVERYONE who played in Primetime League play last year and not just our team specifically.

I received a reply from Chase at Primetime and I believe they now understand the scope of the issue.  He said they have reached out to GotSoccer to work on resolving the problem.  Just something to keep an eye on if you played in PT last year.  As a team, we really enjoy our experience playing in Primetime last Fall & Spring.  Hopefully, this gets resolved soon.

What is not resolved? The fact that you had points and had them taken away or you received points last year and not this season. Does Primetime league even qualify for gotsoccer points anymore?

Primetime does qualify for GotSoccer points.  Our team along with all other teams from every other age group received points for how we finished in Fall/Spring League play.  For us, that meant 566 points for finishing 5th out of 19 teams.  These points were visible on GotSoccer from March thru early June and then a couple of weeks ago - poof - all the Primetime league play points vanished for everyone.  My guess is it has something to do with how they set up the new 2017-2018 season that triggered something in GotSoccer.  Losing that many points dropped us from 30 to 45 in NTX, which would likely impact tournament seeding.  I get that none of the LH folks care about this, but there was a ton of teams playing PTCL last year - and more teams from PTCL are trying to qualify for LH this year than any other league.  Just thought it relevant for those folks.

Well I don't know about the entry error but it does seem odd that points disappear after only a few months. As far as the qualifying talk goes, more than points will be taken into account for seeding. Do well in KT and that will more than make up for it. Also don't worry about your rank. There will be lots of teams that will have pts fall off over the next 4-5 months. Unless they keep winning events.

The real question is, who uses Got Soccer rankings?

I can't imagine any tournament of consequence does when there's Youth Soccer Rankings which are not only better (i.e. not entirely based upon how many tournaments you play...), but free also.

We are aware of the situation regarding missing points from the 2016-2017 soccer season. We have contacted GotSoccer numerous times requesting support for this issue.

Points were posted up till June 21st and disappeared from team accounts on June 22nd. We requested GotSoccer replace those points.

We will provide another update when GotSoccer gives us news to report.
