Rankings for '07 girls

I know for the '08 and '09 girls, there are FBR rankings. But what happens once they get to select (as the '07 girls have done recently)? Where are those rankings and won-loss records published and maintained?

Thanks in advance - still learning the ropes of how Select will work.

Once your 07 Team has played a Tournament since the start of the 2017 Spring season they should be searchable under Rankings. I may be wrong.

you are correct in most Rankings are not all that accurate in measuring a team.

As I was clicking around I noticed a few times where a win had a negative affect and the loser gained points.

Is this most likely a mistake?

Not sure what you are referring to but here is one possible explanation:

The anticipated 'spread' of the game is the difference in the 2 team's points. If team A has 30.00 and team B has 27.00, then YSR suggests Team A should win by 3 goals. If team A wins 1-0, the actual spread is only 1 and the winning team gets a red down arrow and probably will lose a few partial points. Conversely, team B did better than expected, so might gain a few fractions of a point. Every goal matters to YSR. 10 yr old's have to beat the 'spread'(green arrow up) to keep an upward trajectory in the poll. So yes, a win can hurt a team, if they don't win as big as the anticipated spread.

Although in the case I was looking at specifically the team was MUCH higher ranked within their state but spread was further apart with our team having the higher points.

the ranking on ysr does not mean what you think it does; it is simply the sort order of the calculated SCORE -- i.e., it is an artifact of how you are viewing the scores (nationally, regionally, or per state).
