Re: TOP TEN 08’ BOYS TEAMS
I'm not sure what that was, awkward AF, but being at the game to see these two heavyweights battle it out was awesome. I have never seen so many fouls called, it seemed like the last 5 minutes lasted about 15. It was free kick after free kick, corner after corner, it was as great as little kid soccer gets. Its obvious that ATP and SMG have vested interest, but what a game. Solar did possess the ball for a majority of the game, but man do the FCD kids pack a punch. I saw them trip the same kid 3 times in the matter of 2 minutes, and then I saw Solar miss 3 shots in a row, point blank, in the same time frame, it was pure action pack. I thought for sure the Solar kids would buckle like they have in the past against this team, but they were the first to the ball on every FCD long ball kick and controlled the game. FCD plays tough/dirty, but very little skill past kicking it into the attacking third and hoping for a lucky bounce. Maybe that how they play against teams that they can't just overpower. Solar, great possession, just needs help finishing, so many opportunities lost. Thanks to both teams for the entertainment.

Re: TOP TEN 08’ BOYS TEAMS
My friends son plays on the Suarez team and she has told me she is sick of Suarez cursing in front of the boys and his toxic attitude in general. From the sound of it several families are glad to be leaving the team. Just putting this out there so other parents can be careful before having their boys join one of his teams.

I have heard the same thing about suarez. He seems to have a very arrogant demeanor. Not sure what warrants this arrogance. I am not at all impressed with his lack of tactical coaching. You would think a coach with a good group of boys like that could come up with something better than kick ball. I have spoken to a few coaches who dont seem to like him either. I watched the game aginst Solar and he was very rough on his boys I even heard him criticizing one of his players for coming out of the game when he was injured and bleeding. Parents considering going there should definitely ask around

The fact that none of suarez’s parents have jumped on here to defend the guy says a lot.

Re: TOP TEN 08’ BOYS TEAMS
what’s pathetic is you believing that as long as suarez is being talked about, it’s a good thing. I don’t know about the suarez parents and what they feel, but I can tell you I was at the last game and I did witness him call the McKinney kids Spanish curse words, criticize his player for coming off injured, and storm off the field angrily after game while parents were trying to get a team picture. Not hearsay. Facts

Re: TOP TEN 08’ BOYS TEAMS
We've been told by coach to stay above the fray, and that's what we're doing. These claims are laughable and many are straight out lies and not at all what parents from the team have seen or experienced. Those of us who've actually played for him know that he's a good man and a great coach, and we're all sad to see this season come to an end because it's been a really great one. What you think of him really doesn't matter.

Well said soccermom0508, I'm in 100% agreement. As someone who has seen sideline etiquette from every top 08 coach in the DFW area, believe me when I say Suarez is at the top of that list and we have nothing but praise to say about him and I know our family and son are both sad that unfortunately he does not move on with the team, as his entire team will be promoted and selected by other top coaches. He has done amazing for our son and we have seen nothing but growth from him both on and off the field and is a direct result of Coach Suarez and the person and coach that he is!

I am a Spanish speaker. I was watching the game. Suarez called the McKinney boys the Spanish slang term for pu%$#*es. It was pretty clear. I saw 2 cameras recording the game, I am sure one of them caught it on there if it was running audio.
I also did see him criticize the player for coming off when he was bleeding. That's not that bad though. He was just urging him to be tough for the most part I think.
But the name calling was awful and should be reported, especially if one of the cameras got the audio.

Allforthekids half of everyone on the sidelines (parents and coaches) speak fluent Spanish, lets not act like Suarez is a Windtalker. It's sad if that's what was said, unfortunately I am in the 50% that does not speak fluent Spanish so I didn't notice it at the game.
Did anyone see the game tonight McKinney v Ackerson? Looks like McKinney found their stride.

I didn't get a chance to see tonights game. While I wasn't surprised to see McKinney win, I was surprised at the final score of 4-0. Someone on here previously mentioned that in Ackersons group stage win, they just caught McKinney off guard. Looks like that wasn't the case this time. Would love to hear some commentary on the game.

Re: TOP TEN 08’ BOYS TEAMS
I watched both ganes between these two teams. In the first game it honestly felt like mckinney was caught off guard. Mckinney held possession most of the game, but Ackerson countered hard. It seemed like Ackerson only had one player though. I believe he scored 3 of their 4 goals. He played a great game.
As far as last nights game goes, McKinney simply outcoached the 3 coaches of the Ackerson team. McKinney must have watched the film of the first game and come up with the perfect game plan. His boys shut down Ackersons star player completely and his offensive players attacked relentlessly. It felt like mckinney’s team exploited mismatches all over the pitch. His boys executed the game plan and deserve credit, but this seemed to be a coaching win for McKinney

You parents know everything!! Love reading these comments posted by you hiding behind the fake names. All I will say is that Ackerson team was not same as first time we played Mckinney. It would be different game. And score 4:0 does not show the game. It was great game for both teams, as a coach I am proud of solar club representing very strong in this group age. Coach Bosko Katic.
PS. Training tomorrow from 6-730 in Rowlett for all players that want to tryout

Bosko, I saw this game as well. Your team played well overall. I agree that it is great to see two Solar teams in the State Cup final. It speaks well for the Club.
What part of the assessment was wrong though? Agree that score of 4-0 does not show the game since I counted numerous chances that McKinney should have scored even more. I think I only counted like 2 shots on goal total from Ackerson team (aside from a few free kicks). I noticed 2 kids on the bench with injury. Certainly missing #3 hurt, but they still had #57 who scored a hat trick in the first game. Was the assessment wrong in the fact that McKinney came with a game plan and executed it? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see any changes made on the Ackerson side to adjust to McKinneys game plan. I am not criticizing, just pointing out that te assessment was pretty spot on
