02 SDL schedules changed? Not sure if the 01's or any other age groups had the same thing? Why would they do this one week before the season, after they already posted schedules?

go check out the 02G SDL Spring schedule thread--it appears to be the result of game swapping already. To me the notation on the SDL website meant that teams should at least start the season out to see how things go, then make requests as necessary and based on how teams play for a couple of weeks. But that's just me.

yep. I've decided my best possible method of surviving two more DDs in competitive soccer is to drink more wine and go with the flow. going to get a glass now!

I am just thankful that I only have one athlete and I got her on a good team with a great coach. The team she plays for does not get off course due to all the hype

That's a nice feeling! We have three soccer playing DDs--one almost out the door to college and then two academy age. Didn't realize how crazy the academy scene is--and how unstable. Our oldest didn't do academy at all, just select. But we've been fortunate with great coaching too, so I should be able to avoid hype. But it is rather entertaining online on snow days! Here's to another hype-free season for us!

We had signed up for U9 div2 and this was overlooked when schedules were released..we did not want to play div1....so SDL was able to fix this for us; however, SRSA03 wanted to play div1 and that is also OK, they are much better and they handled up on div 2 last season.

ah-ha! I misunderstood the other thread--didn't realize you were aiming for D2 to begin with. Thought you were just having second thoughts or rearranging prematurely! Best of luck for the season! I'm drinking my wine and going with the flow! flower

Best of luck this Spring Zidane. I believe Samba Black '03 would have done well in D1 play, but I also understand how you guys want to develope. Hope to see you on the field!!
