Interesting situation with Solar since Solar Red falls under the club umbrella. It will be a race to the end in the 96 division since only one team can be in ECNL per club per age group. I wonder how it is decided who gets the nod.
Looks like Solar Red has their 94's in the league but the 93's and 95's are Solar Dallas teams.

U-16 Head Coach:
Adrian Solca
U-17 Head Coach:
Terry Woodberry & Michelle Lenard
I dont think the older age groups had two teams so close in comparison. Somebody cant go.
Tough situation.

ECNL Predictions
Challenge A Top Four:
Mustang
Sting
CASL
OH Premier or Eclipse Select
D'Feeters and Challange make good efforts but fall just short of top four.
Challenge B Top Four:
Albertson Fury
SC Del Sol
FC Milwaukee
Birminham United (BUSA)
Solar and Lonestars Red get close (next four).
Thoughts on this or other age groups?

promotion and relegation
I thought three teams exchange after the playoff series (which are groups of four) are concluded in Seattle.
At least thats how it was explained initially. Maybe the process has been changed to match what you described.

Your understanding is correct. Perhaps I was not clear in my communication. The Top Four in Challenge A will play for the ECNL National Championship in Seattle; the bottom 4 in Challenge A will play to avoid relegation to Challenge B; and the Top Four in Challenge B will play for promotion to Challenge A next year.
Now here is the real question: There is talk of expanding ECNL to sixty clubs from 40 next year. If they do that, wouldn't some of the more successful teams in Challenge B automatically move to Challenge A...depending on the level of the clubs being brought in?

It looks like my prognostications made last year had some hits and some misses. The good news is that the a couple of the misses were a direct result of TX teams doing better than I had anticipated.
I got three of the four in Challenge A with Sting, CASL, & Eclipse making the final four but Mustang was replaced by by Arsenal with Ohio Premier and Mustang filling the next two spots.
In Challenge B, both Lonestars and Solar did advance into the Challenge A...which was better than anticipated...but which also meant that my prognostications were way off. None of my top four picks made it into the finals for advancement with the other two replacement teams being San Juan FC and FSA Soccer Plus. All but the latter advanced.
Would any one care to hazard a guess as to the final standings in 2010-2011? Don't be shy.
