LHGCL Week 2 Predictions
Week 2
LP Elite (0) DT South (1) - Should be another great game but PKs can't decide this one. I am going to give a slight edge to DTS - they will have the confidence leading into this game.
Adromeda (1) LP Keegan (1)
FCD Premier (1) Solar Red (4) - This will be an interesting game to watch. FCD has found some offense and Solar Red does not have a dedicated keeper. (I do however believe they have players that are adequate to play the position). Still, I believe it will be as much of a challenge for Solar as the U-12 silver division was last weekend.
Warriors (0) FCD Gold (7) Warriors get to take on the #1 and #2 offenses in the league the first two weeks of league play. Don't worry Warriors, it will get better!
Sting West (1) Sting 03 (2)
Cosmos (1) Defeeters (0)
FWFC (1) LP Barnes (2)
FCD Blue (1) Lp Rush (1)
FCD Red (0) Sting Hilton (2) I believe Hilton is the team to look out for in D1. They play very good soccer and will only get better.
F ever Black (1) DT 03 (1)

Re: LHGCL Week 2 Predictions
Adromeda (1) LP Keegan (1) - Both teams are scrappy, might not be the prettiest game to watch but will be one of the hardest fought.
FCD Premier (1) Solar Red (4) - Here's the first real test for the new SRSA team, should be a little more revealing
Warriors (0) FCD Gold (11) - Speed kills and thankfully for the Warriors this is the last of the strong offenses they will face.
Sting West (1) Sting 03 (2) From all reports Sting 03 looked good last weekend so I think they will get the win but Sting West will compete and make them earn it.
Cosmos (1) Defeeters (2) -Is this the game where the Defeeters finally show some offense? For my prediction I sure hope so.
FWFC (2) LP Barnes (2) - Pretty even match up should make for a pretty even game.
FCD Blue (1) Lp Rush (2) - Kickballers of the world unite!! Lots of long balls, lots of speed on these teams. Should be a close one but if Rush doesn't give up a late goal or a head scratcher like they have in recent games they should have enough to win.
FCD Red (0) Sting Hilton (3) - Sting H has definitely upgraded their talent, however once teams realize they need to mark the blonde that keeps taking the ball the length of the field and scoring on them they might start to struggle again. It won't be this weekend though.
F ever Black (2) DT 03 (0) - The most exciting thing will probably be watching the sidelines in this game.
LP Elite (0) DT South (1) - Game of the week. I believe the last three times they've played it's been a tie, a 1-0 win for DTS, and a win in a shootout last weekend by DTS so I really don't expect this game to be much different. I've picked DTS pretty consistently so I'm going to keep riding the train until it proves me wrong.

Re: LHGCL Week 2 Predictions
FCD Premier (2) Solar Red (5) - Going to be an interesting game here. FCD has found some offense and Solar Red has given the best of theirs to the 02's. We can only wonder how this will turn out and if the playing field is level. Edge goes to Solar based on past performances.
Warriors (0) FCD Gold (5) After the first game of the season I think the Warriors will pack it in for this game. While FCD Gold has a strong offense with plenty of scoring threats if the Warriors rest the entire team inside the 18, they just may keep FCD to 5 or less.
Sting West (2) Sting 03 (3) Sting West plays to their competition. Still a good solid team so they will definitely give Sting 03 a match. Sting 03 lost the league opener and picked up steam in PLD so I think they will come out with the "W".
Cosmos (1) Defeeters (1) This one is a toss up. Neither team seems to have found their momentum yet. Draw.
FWFC (1) LP Barnes (1) FWFC is scrappy and I know little of LP Barnes since their days as Polaris Black so I really can't call this one. FWFC may have the better offense of the two but if Barnes has a solid D then another draw.
FCD Blue (3) Lp Rush (1) Both teams recently took beatings. FCD got hammered by Premier in the 1st game, LP Rush got pounded by FCD Gold in PLD they both will be out for blood but I give the edge to FCD Blue because of the speed up top.
FCD Red (0) Sting Hilton (3) Hilton will easily top FCD in this one. If the blonde gets the ball beware. Better put someone on her tight.
F ever Black (1) DT 03 (0) If Beiber Fever plays to their potential they will take this one. Both teams have one main scoring threat but F ever's can move into so many positions has the leg to put it in the net from downtown.
LP Elite (0) DT South (0) PLD Final repeat but no PK's this time. I predict a draw. If DTS can master the long ball of LP Elite and LP Elite man marks DTS left and right forwards they both survive with 0 goals scored against.

Re: LHGCL Week 2 Predictions
I saw the SRSA & FCDP game, I must say pretty impressed with both teams play. All in all I thought it was a pretty even game and FCD could of put in more in the first half ( I thought the first half belonged to FCDP), second half was a little sloppier and both teams seemed to slow a bit but SRSA put a good second half (I thought this half belonged to SRSA) together and capitalized after the goals (Errors) that FCDP GK's made.
All in all I must say good job to both teams for a good game it was certainly entertaining! Both teams are technically good and played a high tempo game. From where I was standing I heard the FC Coach yell out DO no PACK it IN, right after they scored. It's obvious they came to play and they refuse to play a counter attacking style of play.
Well DONE SRSA and FCDP!!!

Re: LHGCL Week 2 Predictions
This is the closest anyone has played SRSA in two years. If SRSA plays the same, I will predict LP Elite wins when they meet.wrongsided wrote:I saw the SRSA & FCDP game, I must say pretty impressed with both teams play. Well DONE SRSA and FCDP!!!
I believe SRSA dominance is over for the 03s but it is just getting started in the 02s. SRSA 02, with their new 03 editions, put a whipping on a very dominant DT Higg team yesterday for the first time...

If you think that way, you have no clue what you are up against... Good luck with your reality check when your teams time comes...

You are right. We should chalk this one up to a bad day, or the heat, or not enough subs, or.... something else. Because it could never be that SRSA 03 is falling to earth with the rest of the top 03 teams. Or is it the other way around?
Sorry off, I was there. The team was still impressive, but not dominant.

You know there is no one i would rather gulp down a few shots of tequila with but you are wrong on this one. Srsa continue to dominate the 03's. So they win 3-1 or 5-1 instead of 8-1, still the elite of the group by far..

I agree they are still the best... but not by as far. I just call it like I see it.silentparent wrote:You know there is no one i would rather gulp down a few shots of tequila with but you are wrong on this one. Srsa continue to dominate the 03's. LP Elite or DTS would have beat the team on Saturday.

Ok, i just think you have to be careful, 3-1 is a thrashing in soccer. For some people the body count is never high enough. I.e they only won 3-1 or 5-1 etc....

Re: LHGCL Week 2 Predictions
But great teams find ways to win. This was the game of the year for fcd but just another day at the office for srsa and they still won 3-1....SolarPower00 wrote:If you saw the game....I doubt very seriously you'd call that a thrashing. A 1-0 halftime lead by FCD and several scoring chances throughout the entire 60 min
