Well, I appreciate the compliment to her, but we seriously have not been floating around in months. We have been training by other means.

There was this one incident I was told about that occurred prior the FCD/LP Elite game, that caught me off guard. It was something about some FCD parents, approaching the LP side protesting about me being there and handing in some paperwork. They claimed that they saw my daughter all suited up and ready to play. It was weird, especially since I haven't been to UTD or Toyota since the end of last season, unless there was a tournament going on that I don't remember offhand.

So, it seems like I'm Elvis and any girl with a bun is my daughter!

Geez sp.....I had no idea. Actually the game between the two was tied...I was actually talking about the overall bracket points 23 vs 22. And just fyi....look at some of the other scores....some games weren't soooooo close smarty.

Most of the games between teams two through six are traditionally pretty close games. Heck over the past few months even the games against #1 are getting closer than before. Besides SRSA's wins over DTS and FCD Gold I think there was only one game between the Top 6 that resulted in a margin of victory of more than one goal. It's crazy how close all these teams are at the top of this age group.

Should make for an interesting weekend, assuming the weather doesn't mess things up. I still have no idea who will win between DTS and FCD Gold, it's literally a flip of a coin just like DTS/Sting G or FCD Premier/LP Elite last weekend.

Did the two prodigies play for SRSA last weekend or do y'all think they will this weekend in order to try to seal the deal? It's not like they have needed them to pull off a perfect season, but a couple of those games were close enough that anything could literally happen.

I don't believe so, but I'm strictly going off the fact that I've heard no one talking about. Honestly I'm not even sure if they are listed on their roster at this time.

Nope they are playing with the 02's. They are doing well and playing in the semi's.

nope, but kids have a way of foiling my plans, darn kids.... I think dts can take fcd gold and then runs into the srsa buzzsaw. premier just got the shaft having to play srsa in the semis...

DTS got a good look at Solar the last game of the season. I will call a 1-1 draw for a dramatic and fitting end to U-11

If this was a 3rd game of the day type of format, I can see this happening. SRSA will be fresh and has too much offensive power to overcome DTS defense. DTS not balanced enough on offense.

What is scary is that at the end of the season SRSA will pick up the top DTS defender and further solidify the back group for SRSA. Better start teaching your DD to shoot from way outside the box.

That was a great day of soccer. Congrats to all the girls. Two tough games. Looking forward to tomorrow.

the best team won and deservedly so....But I think the road will be harder next year and will not be capped by an undefeated season. but it will be interesting as the other top teams close the gaps...

Well, at least I was right about dramatic - state cup lived up to its reputation. Great showing from all teams this weekend. The quality in this age group is amazing.

Good luck to all in the offseason - it should be interesting...

Sounds like all of this past weekend's games were fun to watch. Solar finally scores on FCD Premier to win; FCD Gold gets a PK to beat DTS; and Solar vs. FCD Gold just a good nail-biting hard fought game on both ends. From my observation, I didn't see total domination of any game by any team, which makes for good competition. All of these are great teams, and Solar did just what they do...Win Games!
