03's Rumbling 04 Elephants? Elite? and ECNL?

I'll bite... LW to Solar?

Noise began on this thread in the 04 world:

Now we hear something again in the 04 world:

So I'm going to run with this rumor. If LW does move to Solar, what does that do  to the the log jam Solar will have with the 03's and ECNL just over 1 year away?
Should this move happen, who coaches the 03's in ECNL? LW, JH, Other Solar coach?
Should this move happen, will this trigger some more team moves?

If anything, this should make things interesting in the 03 world since it seems like the crickets have dominated the 03 board of late.

Here is my prediction... If LW does move to Solar he will not coach the 03's. It will be to coach the 04's and other teams in ECNL. Solar 03's ECNL team will be coached by one of the known coaches not JH (sorry buddy your team will be plucked by the higher brass should you choose to stick around). Sting seems to have a high number of teams to pull talent from especially with their Sting USA (pre-ECNL) club already on tour. That leaves FCD, DT, and Feet as prime landing spots for some of the indy teams and/or coaches who may be on the short end of the stick. This time last year, there was a lot of movement in the 02 world (Higgy/Stark) as teams and players tried to align themselves for ECNL. I predict the same for the 03's. It should be fun so I'll sit back and enjoy the fireworks.

I'm gonna bet someone's gonna jump over to Feet since they are devoid of any ECNL potential at this point. Now who that will be will be interesting to watch.

My prediction for best 03 ECNL teams? Solar and Sting, um....let's go with Sting Diaz.

Anyone considered LW back to Texans as 03 and 04 ECNL coach? Not sure what terms he left under so maybe he wouldn't bite?

Both, Solar trains an academy style where you could see two or three different coaches doing training sessions. 03 will also see a lot of mixed training with other Lvl ecnl teams.

Word I'm hearing is that they'll be at FCD. They want to get out from under big sisters shadow and they will be the top team there.

So, FCD just getting a head start on shopping outside their own program for their ECNL players.

Scratching my head on LW and FCD move. It would definitely give FCD a strong 03 bunch in which to pick an ECNL team, but I can't imagine that sitting well with FCD Premier folks...at all. It would however give FCD a top 04 team so who knows.

Anyone wanna take bets when the 03 chain of events will start to unfold? Anyone wanna take bets when the season will actually end so we can get on with whatever's gonna happen?

What will happen is that the pecking order will emerge.

Solar, FCD, Sting and Texans will field strong D1 Teams one way or another. Indies will get gutted, but regain strength in D1 once ECNL is in place.

Politics, Gamesmanship, who your DD is best friends with, who you pissed off 2 years ago, or how much $$ Daddy makes or what "favors" you did for your DD's current Coach doesn't matter anymore. Performance is the only thing that matters from this point forward.

Does seem like there's lots of talk right now but there's always lots of talk this time of year. Last year it was FCD Prem imploding thanks to JD and the funky bunch, which formed the now Sting G team. That group coming over caused them to have to move some girls and I'm not sure where they all landed. Then you had FCD Gold making their second move in as many years when they switched over to Solar. Then we had half the DTS team leaving GA and with some moving to SRSA and others to Gold I believe. You also had LP Keegan vanishing into think air only grab a bunch of girls together and have them run the gauntlet of DI this year.

I'll be real curious to see if this year is any different. Barca brings up some interesting rumors on team. No idea where he's hearing all this or if he's just making it up, either way it makes for interesting board conversation. I'm sure the never ending LH's season hasn't really been helping things out, simply delaying the inevitable for some teams and leaving the window to look much smaller than normal.

Gotta love the Barca philosophy...and I quote: "Look at the games played in each division and see which team allowed the most goals. Pretty sure they would take a look at another goal keeper."

My intrepretation - please correct me if I am wrong Sr. Barca:
Goalies on the top teams who stand and grow grass but get shut outs are better than goalies on bottom teams that get peppered by 10 or so shots per game where some go in...
