there's no comparison unless you are most concerned about your kids playing time. ecnl has upper hand in all aspects in ntx. npl at best should be a supplemental league for teams instead of a primary one. i'd put it below regional premier league and lhgcl.

This post is spot on with "what's wrong in Lake Highlands".

Andro Red was in the relegation numbers at seasons end, and didn't make it out of LH QT round 1, losing 2 out of 3 games with no goals scored.

Now we hear they almost got a bye back into the league...Lake Highlands is supposed to be the top tier league over PPL and Arlington. But yet, there's still many weak teams in their league because of these silly club bye rules and such. Plano appears to be following the silliness by promoting the D3 teams to D1.

Perhaps LAKE HIGHLANDS needs new leadership.

I saw 3 sub players on the mansfield sideline during the saturday game. I believe that makes 14. So guess she does exists.

With Revolution stating they are playing in LHGCL, that means another team has dropped out. Dang, all these teams dropping out so late. Stinks for the regulated teams that could have got a freebie back in.

Well seems like thye should be able to get players from all the teams that are blowing up. With 14 players they still came out better than those.

Wonder if FC Dallas Red is sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for the next team to bite the dust.

In all seriousness, i do wish the girls at Mansfield well and congratulate them.

It's the adults - that manage the teams, coach the teams, make the rules, and such that need to show a little more integrity and do the right thing.

Texas soccer isn't what it could be. It could be a whole lot better.

FCD Red is wishing they had gotten a fluke goal.

The Cosmos were given the bye and then didn't have enough players. They were then allowed to give that bye to a different team in their club, which was going to be an '02 team. Why LH would allow that, is crazy. I don't see how that matches the spirit of the rule. But whatever.

LH allowed The Cosmos a lot of time to get to that conclusion, past the stated dates on their website. The whole thing was bizarre but consistent with the inconsistency of the league.

I've never heard anyone say the league was 'great' nor have I ever heard anyone say that the leadership is intent on improving and recognizes their past mistakes and appreciates their customer base.

Okay so I guess since I have decided to speak my mind on this issue and have a dog in this fight. Blah Blah Blah.

Here's my take. LH told everyone that there would be 3 spots available though math and discussions seem to indicate otherwise. It would make sense to me that that information should be released prior to a tourney as to 3 or 5 as the approach could be significantly altered as well as the number of teams that enter the tourney.

Having watched all 14 teams play. I contended based on the style of game Mansfield 11 ( because that's how many played on the field when we played them) Was the 2nd best team in the tournament. IMHO. I thought based on prior play that FWFC was the best. Maybe not the best soccer by style but they were the toughest to beat knew how to win and shutting out teams and winning so many of their last games gave them that title. I thought the third best team was Dallas Texans and Texas Spirit Red was fourth and NTFC was 5th. So at the end of the day with all the complaining if you were to hold a knife to my head before the tourney and bought my theory that 5 spots should exist the 5 teams that got them were the ones I thought would get them based on what they had done going into the tourney. Now I believe there were some potential upset teams. FCUSA , Texas Spirit Central, FC Red. That if things happened right they could have found a way in but things would have to happen right.

Now the question of teams still in LH I think there might be 3 or 4 teams that would have struggled to get into LH playing the 14 teams that were in so should there be more openings raises another question to allow the strongest teams to be in the league. That's an interesting question which I have an opinion on but again they haven't called me because we are one of those Low PPL 3 teams that how do they say have no business being promoted to division 1. You know what I agree with that as well. But at least let us solve it on the field if we get in then the girls worked their tail off and deserve it. With only 4 back in PPL1 I think open the 6 spots up for anyone who wants to sweat it out on the pitch. ( Water breaks allowed of course for fear of someone passing down and dying for trying to get into PPL1 but let's keep them to 30 seconds maybe a minute and no getting of the field)

At the end of the day what I want is the girls no matter whose team they are on playing the beautiful game and enjoying getting out of the game what they should get out of it. That depends on the DD and isn't equal because the world my friends isn't equal. I figure if playing this game keeps a few girls away from boys until they are old enough that would be great but that's another story. I figure If I run them to hard they will be to tired to mess with those jokers for a while.

Congrats to the 5 that got in. Now let me go back to figuring out why I entered this heat classic with it being over 45 C this weekend to Play FCD and Jazz. Oh the fun continues. I thought someone told me Jazz didn't have a team and look I find them on the schedule this weekend. Moral of the story you can't believe everything you read on the internet. Maybe they borrowed number 8 from Mansfield......
