I saw Fusion and LP Liddell on Sunday. Hats off to James Spence and LP Liddell, they looked pretty good against a much better FCD JDL Blue team. Fusion...ehhh...IMO, a little bit of gimmick soccer there...and I haven't seen Mutiny since the Spring.

And SB is not the center of the soccer universe, you are correct. But, the other 2 top teams played up, why not them?

IDK...They were a very good technical group. Maybe they need to time gel??? There was a lack of D1 Former Fever Players from what I saw...

Last time SB played up in 11v11 they did not make that great of a showing. I believe I remember her saying she was going to keep that team 9v9 as long as possible.

While i disagree with the tone of the poster, the question is valid, what's the point of bringing the "ringers" in? Might your team have lost the 1st solar game, perhaps since those players made the difference in that game, but in the long run i bet the tournament result would have been the same with DTS coming out on top.

The 06 DTS girls played great soccer, it's a pity the result is tarnished by bringing the top 05 guest players in.

Fair question. We brought 2 05s to play against a team that had at least 8 ECNL players. If we were interested in rankings we would have played in the 06 bracket. Not sure but I don't think points in 05 bracket will help us.

Another random thought... Did the other team (which I think someone mentioned was Feet) notify you guys before the rosters were due to say hey, if we play you, we are bringing in 8 ECNL players? Or did you guys roster the ringers just in case someone did something sneaky?

The point is... own it. Don't say you guys only brought in ringers because other teams do the same. There was a reason for doing it, which was unrelated to other teams, unless you guys can predict the future. Which in that case... Will the men really qualify for the WC?

why would an '05 team see the need to bring in 8 ECNL players to play an '06 team is the question that needs to be answered? Was it verified the '05 team brought 8 ECNL players or was that just a rumor that 06South used to bring in their ECNL ringers? Something seems amiss here.

I think the top 05 Selecao team is ECNL. I could be wrong but I don't think they would be bringing in any players if they were already there. Besides that looked like the Lake Highlands team to me.

Would the USNWT have a decent shot at tying or beating the USMNT? If yes/no why? I personally think USWNT has better defenders and mids and it would be a good game. USMNT doesn't look so bueno. They got a lucky tie against Honduras. Honduras out played them big time.

I don't have insight into '05 Selecao roster make up. I assumed they had an abundance of players to play ECNL and LH D1 but my better half always reminds me what happens when I assume things.. I end up looking like a DA.

Good game maybe. Beat the men I doubt it. Men don't look so good against the better mens teams. Against the women they would look much better. Besides that would be nothing more than a weak friendly if they played.

Bassbaby, you strike me as a maker of soccer prodigies. In your vast experience transitioning kids from 9v9 to 11v11 at the U12 age, what is the proper "development" path. I'm sure we could all benefit from your proven track record. Or, are you just a DTS hater? Between FC1 and you, I don't know who is the bigger winer. Please continue to bash a team for winning an 05 gold bracket with at worst a mix of a couple 05 and a bunch of 06 players. Maybe that's what Kicks was missing....a couple 06 players to balance the roster and give them an edge.
