No. What he is saying, is that 3 of Solar's '03 super-studs were moved up from U15 or U16/U17 DA to play in the U18/U19 DA playoffs.
That potentially left openings on the U15 or U16/U17 Solar DA squads. He is suggesting that those openings may have been filled by Grado players, OR, they were filled by Solar ECNL players, which then would have opened up spots on the Solar ECNL roster and those spots may have been backfilled by Grado players.
DA Playoffs, ECNL Playoffs, and USYSA Southern Regionals were all taking place between June 21-June 29 in three different states (California, Washington, and North Carolina).
So they won nothing moving girls around? Is that right? why not leave them where they were?
Yeah. I’m sure Solar is really upset that they played those ‘03’s up in U18/U19 and that at least 2 of them were recognized amongst the best players out there at the playoffs and are all over USSF’s radar for the YNT/WNT.
Pretty sure those kid's parents and the UT head coach were just as livid that those kids didn't play down on U15 to win a Natty instead of playing against some of the best U18/U19 players in the country.

Sounds like those kids definitely played in the ECNL playoffs then.

Sure those 2 players great PR, but they were already doing/getting that on the YNT team. It's great for those 2, no argument here. UT coach, same, prob very happy.
Winning title for club and 16 others on team, didnt happen. So unless you are one of those 2, remember, in any given year Solar will plunder the team moving players up, so chances of winning titlesare nill. Something to remember if you are in the 'other 16' category.

We spend most of our time bi+c#ing about how the clubs are all about winning at the expense of development. Then a situation pops up where maybe the club made a move to benefit the development of some of it's players, and now we bi+c# because that move may have prevented a team(s) from winning.
Brilliant!

Agree... (There is always a contrarian position(pot) to take(stir) though.)

Re: North Texas State Cup Champions
Then you have another player from Solar DA 2017/2018 not play on the LPE State Cup roster but was added for the Southern Regional roster?

Re: North Texas State Cup Champions
Totally agree. From what I was told Grado had four players move up to ECNL. Three stayed with the club and one left for one of the other big clubs. That is good for Grado as it shows he's developing strong players. The rest of the team...well, I'm sure there is some animosity. However, given the chance to play up I imagine most would jump on that. I think it is the right thing to do. Solar has a lot of depth and moving girls around creates opportunities at every level. These promotions are earned and the girls that get recognized should be proud of their accomplishments, not made to feel like they abandoned their old team.DeltaTauChi wrote:NoSpinZone wrote:DeltaTauChi wrote:NoSpinZone wrote:DeltaTauChi wrote:mixitup wrote:
