I think any technology that will help referees and assistant referees get the call right can only make the game better.

Trial run at a meaningless tournament..Rather FIFA test it out there, determine if it is worth using, then apply it in the World Cup, European Championship, Premier League, etc...

If technology is used for this purpose (goal-line), would there be a 'Review'?

If there is a Review, how would that effect the 'flow' of the traditional game?

I'ts my understanding that the Hawk-Eye system will be given a go.. If that is the case, there shouldnt be much loss of flow of the game..

Hawk-Eye's system works by utilising six cameras per goal to track the ball on the pitch.

The system's software then uses "triangulation" to pinpoint the exact location of the football.

If the ball crosses the goal-line then an encrypted radio signal is sent to the referee's wristwatch to indicate a goal has been scored.

In line with Fifa's requirements, the whole process takes less than a second to complete.

I'm still waiting for them to implement my idea: Have the officials watch the replay of the game with the benefit of camera angles, and hand out post-game cards for simulation. It doesn't change the result of the game, but the cumulative card rules insure that the incidents of simulation decline in frequency.
