Shoot the way I see it we were all lucky that Solar played up. Otherwise it would have been a blow out with them sweeping it all! What do they feed those kids????

I heard they were protesting the officiating. They didn't know tripping and pony tail pulling wasn't allowed in pld and it wasn't pointed out in the rules.

Few notes re the game. FCD dominated possession and looked to be the better team but just couldn't finish. Such is the game. KW was rather calm throughout..not sure what happened in the end. DT has some amazing speed up front..and that was the difference maker. Interesting to see the DT coach(KS) stroll in midway thru second half. I didn't see any foul play from either side (nor poor officiating)..just two tough, fast teams battling. Justbecause - solar red is not unbeatable. They did in fact lose the last time they played vs both JDL FCD Teams. All of these teams are some of the best in the state..try and celebrate their success.

Good post 07soccerdad.. I concur but I thought it was an even match between two good teams. FCD Red played more kick ball than I expected but DT Salazar played tough D. Speed and Forward play was the difference.
Solar Red is definitely beatable but they are the best 07 team today. Been impressed with how quickly DT Salazar has been able to beat the top teams in the division.

So, to summarize, KW lacked the speed up front, so her players kicked it around playing keep-away and "dominating possession". DT's speed up front waited for a mistake, pounced, dodged a hair-pull, and scored. Rinse. Repeat.

Someone forgot to tell KW - if you're gonna coach kickball, you gotta have the speed up front to make it work.

I guess I was being kind but you are right, 3-0 is not even. Just making the point FCD Red is a good team and so is DT's. DT's was the better team in that game.

I saw the game. It appeared to me that DT made better adjustments and was able to put a ton of pressure on a tired FCD defense. If the mids can't keep possession and progress the ball up, it doesn't matter the style of play. If possession is not working, you have to revert to long ball just try and ease pressure on the defense. Fact is DT used high pressure and attacked as many lanes as they could until the defense just gave out. KW needed a rock star holding mid for that game to ease the pressure and get the ball to her speed on the outside and attack wide.

When all the teams are playing in the same tournament you can't mix n match the kids to hide your team's true capabilities. Welcome to the new world of Forrest Gump Pool Team Soccer. Teams are now like a box of chocolates.. You never know what player is going to show up on what team at what game. There was a ton of it going on this weekend at PLD. It's very sad. The only "Development" the girls get on the big clubs is being practice dummies for the stars that get the wins on Saturday/Sunday. Why parents put up with this by continuing to pay for their DD to play for these clubs is beyond stupid.

When you say jk..are you talking about the tobasco kid? Cause if he's playing straight these days it's only because he can't grab a ringer from somewhere else.
