and parents need to learn to let the kids self police and self organize. "School yard unwritten rules" are always better than parents getting involved. That's how kids learn cause and effect. Did you want your mama or daddy getting involved when someone was ugly to you on the playground? Did you want your mama or daddy cheering you on or berating you when you were in a tussle with another kid in the back yard/front yard/at school? Maybe because I am a bit older than the average parent of an '07 I see things differently. Never in my day playing sports (football, baseball, or soccer) did my parents ever do what I see routinely on the sidelines today.

What planet are you from? Happened in every game in every sport trust me. Back then it was a lot worse though cuz the kids could say things that are so completely inappropriate and un-politically correct that what would come out of our mouths would cause a run on the stores for irish spring today. Not to mention the kicking in the nuts while in the pile on the football field, binging a guy in the head with a baseball cuz he spiked the 2nd baseman sliding into 2nd, or the constant poking in the ribs on the pitch on a corner or PK.. Or what about the 1st baseman calling the runner racial or sexual orientation slurs to try to catch him off guard so he can tag him out? I have even had teeth marks on my arms and calves from players who bit me when trying to get the ball across the goal line.

We didn't get mad.. we got even back then and the parents didn't give a sheet cuz they either 1) not at the game because both parents worked to make sure we could eat or 2) not paying attention at the game cu they were either gossiping with the "elite" parents, drunk, or in many cases both.

Plus this is a soccer forum where parents and coaches talk about their kids soccer teams and quality of coaching/leagues/etc. I think you posted your comments on the wrong forum.. You might want to check where you post to which forum before you hit the send button
