Looks to be more shifting than just those...... We moved entire brackets and times for games.

looks like they shifted the bracket up from week 1 results.  GSSC takes the 2nd spot, TX Spirit 3rd and then just replaced them as the 2nd and 3rd seed for this week's brackets.

If that truly happened, I feel sad for the other 13-15 players on the team that will have their hearts broken. Not the way you want to go out. All that hard...just sad.

Most likely a player played but wasn't on the final roster they submitted. Feel bad for the other kids that didn't have a thing to do with the situation. Tough life lesson to learn.

Well that stinks for the other girls. Have no sympathy for the coach if that is correct. They know the rules.

I happen to know they are not but its the first time I've seen a team punished for cheating

Sadly, this seems too common. Same or similar thing happened in the 02 boys Classic qualifier, but it appears that the Classic Board let that team/coach get away with it in that instance.

Let me rephrase - this seesm crazy for U11 soccer. As the girls get older and stakes higher the temptation to cheat is greater - I undertsand that.

Getting to the point that they need to do roster checks at each game. I'm sure they weren't the only ones last weekend that had something questionable going on with their roster, they were just the only ones that got caught.

Roster issues: getting a player on the roster late, changing the roster, adding club players...admin things happen. I understand this happening at any age group. Forging a birth certificate goes beyond cheating at a soccer match.

I think that depends on one's perspective of "unaware" and "cleared". After talking with a former parent on the team and some others claiming knowledge, it is a concerning set of circumstances. On the BB Board, it seemed to be acknowledged that an illegal player was used, whether it was done "knowingly" seemed to be the issue. There was no reply when several on point questions were asked on the Board.
